There are two separate product and service code standards whose maintainers both claim the designation UNSPSC:
- the United Nations Standard Products & Services Code, maintained by the UN Development Program (UNDP) and Dun & Bradstreet
- the Universal Standard Products and Services Classification, maintained by the Electronic Commerce Code Management Association (ECCMA)
Visitors to the sites of the maintainers of the two standards should be aware that some claims on the sites are contradicted by claims of the other site in this conflict.
